At ADMEC Multimedia Institute we want our students to present them and showcase their work in the right way. Regarding this concern we organized a resume and portfolio development workshop on 15th April 2025 for our students by the veteran of multimedia Mr. Ravi Bhadauria. He is a 25+ years of experienced IT professional highly skilled in UI/UX designing, programming, and data science.
In this workshop he taught all the students about how to get selected for an interview from an impressive resume. Resume make you attend an interview and provide you a chance to present your work in a way that makes an impact.
Ravi sir encouraged the students to give their best in their projects because portfolio is all about work.
In the workshop we told how to display your work effectively in both digital and print formats.
Objective of Interview, Resume, and Portfolio Workshop
The main aim of organizing this workshop is to provide our students practical knowledge on facing interviews, designing impressive resume, and building an online portfolio. We offered creative and useful tips to our students to be better in interview with resume and portfolio.
If a student is applying for a job, internship, or a freelance opportunity a well-organized portfolio plays an important role in creating interest. We also guided our students to build different brands that look unique by using their portfolios.
Workshop Highlights
Interview preparation, resume and its importance, and portfolio development were the main highlights of the workshop by Ravi sir. He poured his over 2.5 decade of experience as an interviewer and interviewee both with his students.
Body language and all interview essentials, resume designing, resume customization strategies, and popular platforms for portfolio development were the main points of the workshop.
He also shared case studies of alumni of ADMEC and displayed previous students’ portfolio and resume for better understanding.
Some of them were:
- Ice Cream Parlour campaign by Mavis Tariro Mugido (Online student of Graphic Master course)
- Mahindra’s campaign by Meet (Student of Graphic Master Plus course)
An Interactive Session
Yes, it was a fully interactive session where many online students also came to attend. Students asked many questions related to outfit and body languages in an interview.
Later discussion switched to resume planning and portfolio designing for various professionals like graphic designer, web designer, software developers, animators, architects, and machine learning & AI students.
Expert Insights from Interview, Resume, and Portfolio Workshop at ADMEC
It was a necessary workshop because valuation of the skills of the students depends on these 3 components totally. Poor resume will block all the chances for interview and it will lead to no job opportunities. If one gets an interview, bad presentation in interview will lead to no result. If interview goes good but portfolio is not appealing, it will destroy you at the edge. – Mr. Ravi Bhadauria
Student Response after attending workshop on Interview, Resume, and Portfolio Development:
Undoubtedly, they enjoyed the event thoroughly, as it was very important for them. The way they were involved in the workshop was very good. They are frequently forwarding their resume and portfolio to us for our comments.
Conclusion
Our team of ADMEC feels very positive for our students’ career after this workshop. We understand the need of necessary skills for an interview, resume, and portfolio to get a good opportunity for an IT professional. We wish them a happy career.
