Rangoli Designing is a grand competition at ADMEC Multimedia Institute, which is organized every year a day before Diwali. Our Institute believes in overall development of students thus organizes competitions along with good academics to boost them.
Rangoli is an art form, originated in Indian culture, in which artistic patterns and drawings are created on the ground, floor, corners or wide tables using different materials such as colored rice, flour, colored sand, vermillion, turmeric or flowers and diyas are placed on it to embrace its beauty.
There are several traditions that people around the world follow and celebrate during major festivals. Rangoli designing is one such tradition during Diwali. The designs vary as they represent the culture, history, folklore of different places. This is mainly made by girls and women since they are considered as luck and source of happiness.
The purpose of competition is to keep our students intact with the traditional concepts. We at our training center, teach them how to use digital software but along with that we also take care of the fact that they do not forget the basic roots from where it all started.
The inducement of Rangoli Design competition is to make students familiar with creative and artistic culture of India. As a leader in digital media training, we prepare our students to face any situation of the real industry and keeping this thing in our mind to check what out of the box solution they can think of and how well they can present their thoughts and vision.
Rangoli is a free art that allows you to widen up your imagination and create something wonderful. You can choose a theme, topic, idea that should be actually interacting and conveying message. Students were asked to choose their favorite materials and good design idea or they can also work on the pre-decided theme given by mentors. They had a great chance to showcase their creativity and knowledge of colors.
For a designer, it is very important to push their physical as well as virtual limits and step and step out of their comfort zones. We pay special focus on how to develop creative skills in our students and how can we make them just a designer but an interaction Designer; a designer who very well interacts with his/her surroundings and offer creative solutions to challenging design problems. This competition was an example of team coordination, ideas and understanding.
