1. Walt Disney

Walt Disney, is no doubt, one of the best animators in the world and a famous cartoonist. He was born in Chicago in 1901. He based his first Mickey Mouse on a pet mouse that Disney had adopted. The animation that appears at the beginning of the film suggests that it is Disney’s mouse.

Steamboat Willie, Disney started his work with Ub Iwerks then he created Mickey Mouse. Then he introduced Mickey’s Revue he now introduces Debbie Dog.

One of his biggest hits was “Three Little Pigs” even though the original characters were absurd. The following year he showed “The Wise Little Hen” and introduced Donald Duck. One historic hit one after the other Disney is a true Legend. Whose works have stood the test of time and continue to entertain children and adults even today.

2. Hayao Miyazaki

He is a manga artist, animator, director, producer, screenwriter, and author from Japan. Calling him one of the top veterans of animation is certainly apparent. After he worked for Toyo animations and TMS entertainment. He got the opportunity to direct his third movie “The Castle of Cagliostro”. He founded his anime studio five years later. He then released a film “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.”

After that, he made “Princess Mononoke” and four years later he directed “Spirited Away”.. After having a career full of accomplishments in 2013 he announced his retirement. Later he released “The Wind Rise” as his last movie.

3. Chuck Jones

He was an animator and cartoonist from the United States. Jones earned eight Academy Award nominations and won three of them. Among other businesses, he worked for Warner Bros. and Merrie Melodies. During World War II, Jones and Dr. Seuss collaborated on the “Private Snafu” series of Army instructional cartoons. During the four-month production of “Sleeping Beauty,” he collaborated with Ward Kimball.

4. William Hanna & Joseph Barbera

Joseph Barbera and William Hanna began their 60-year relationship at MGM, where they produced Tom & Jerry. After getting a lot of success and several Oscars and awards they went on and left MGM. And laid the foundation of Hanna-Barbera Productions. It became the first major animation studio to successfully produce cartoons. It specialized in television, and released the first big anime “The Yogi Bear”.

After getting a lot of popularity on this they made “The Flintstones”. They’re also responsible for the popularity of “Scooby-Doo Where Are You?” Many others have produced over 100 cartoons in their lifetime.

5. Matt Groening

He is a cartoonist from the United States. The members of “The Simpson family” were named after his own parents and sisters, with Bart being an anagram of the term brat. After this, he worked on “The Tracey Ullman Show. “The Simpsons” has a total of 701 episodes and was a big hit. So he followed up with “The Simpsons Movie.”

6. John Lasseter

In his early days, he started as an animator at The Walt Disney Company. Do you know that he also got fired from Disney which moved him to Lucasfilm. After the tie, Steve Jobs and Pixar bought Lucasfilm. Bug’s Life, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Cars, and Cars 2 were among the films he directed.

7. Tex Avery

Droopy, George and Junior, Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Screwy Squirrel, Elmer Fudd, and chilly Willy are some of the most popular characters created by Tex. Avery’s directing style allowed animators to push the medium’s limits in films. It allowed them to do things in a cartoon that they couldn’t do in a live-action film.

8. Genndy Tartakovsky

He is an animator who is Russian and American. He is a comic book writer best known for his work on Cartoon Network and Adult Swim’s animated television shows. He made a fantastic animation called Power Puff Girls. He’s one of a kind when it comes to animation, fast-paced action, and minimal dialogue.

9. Nick Park

He worked as a commercial animator on the film “Sledgehammer.” Shaun the Sheep was one of his most well-known works with Creature Comforts, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave, and The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. He was nominated for an Academy Award six times and received four of them.

10. Ub Iwerks

He is an animator who collaborated with Disney on the development of Mickey Mouse. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Mickey Mouse are two of his most famous creations. For his coolest anime designs, he won several awards.
