Semesters and Modules: 

Semester I – Advanced Digital Design, Graphics and Video Editing

Duration: 6 Months

Graphic design covers visual concepts to transfer ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate clients. Graphic Designers are responsible for developing the overall layout and production design for various applications such as for advertisements, digital painting, matte painting, Posters, and corporate reports.

Video editing is a process of combination of various technical functions, combined together to achieve an aesthetic goal. The stages of video editing are ordered to help video editor and to help post-production remain organized.

Module I – Fundamental of Digital Art & Designing

Duration: 3 Months

This module provides a solid base in art and design. It also provides the prospect for students to assess which area of the visual arts is most suitable to their individual abilities. Creative and practical skills are developed in this module to nurture artistic talents and prepare students for future.

Module II – Non-Linear Editing

Duration: 3 Months

This module is dedicated towards fundamentals of editing, learning concepts of linear and non-linear editing techniques, their advantages and disadvantages and their practical implementation.

Semester II – Advanced Compositing and Motion Graphics

Duration: 6 Months

In this module, students will learn how to storyboard their ideas before the filming process begins. They will also learn color keying to “remove” the backgrounds, how to apply optical effects to the finished product. They will create title and end credits as well as a logo for their production company and how to animate them.

Module III – Advanced Compositing

Duration: 3 Months

Compositing is the main expression of communication and is a creative tool. This module will cover some of the core areas of Compositing. Students will learn how to mix in a perfect and functional synthesis graphics, videos, music, special effects, three-dimensional reconstructions, Chroma key and green screen.

Module IV – 3D Motion Graphics

Duration: 3 Months

People are always fascinated by professional ads having an appealing visual and animation style. This requires a lot of knowledge in 3D animation and motion graphics. From this module students will gain technical knowledge on software while preparing them to enter the world of advanced principles of animation and motion graphics.

Semester III – Film Making and Its Basics

Duration: 6 Months

In this semester, students will learn all the important basic concepts of film-making and advanced level techniques. They will be making their own short film. They will be learning framing and developing their own take on-screen storytelling. Students will be required to make a short film. It will cover all the modules starting from Film Development to Post Production.

Module V – History of Cinema, Research & Script Development and Pre-Production

Duration: 3 Months

This module will cover complete theoretical and practical aspects of the process of film development – from ideas, concept development, and script writing to screenplay, cinematography and editing. Students will also learn what and how to plan a shoot before the camera starts rolling.

Module VI – Production, Post‐Production & Distribution

Duration: 3 Months

This course covers procedures and techniques for picture and audio editing. Students will learn the fundamentals of visual effects editing, color correction and titling, and examine the concepts and possibilities related to sound design. They will also learn the distribution process for different markets. They will learn Production techniques by working making a short film.
